M.G. Anderson has been a mountain climber since his early teens, starting by walking with his father in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. He has accumulated a considerable number of classic ascents in North and South America, the European Alps, and on his home turf in all four corners of the British Isles. His ascent of Alpamayo in the Peruvian Andes, “The World’s most beautiful mountain,” was a boyhood dream come true.
These experiences have lent considerable details and a well-developed sense of reality to both of his books. and in his many published short stories.
In addition to an accomplished mountaineer, M.G. Anderson is a former Latin teacher. He was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, but now lives in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
